This page provides step-by-step instructions on how to request deletion of your account and personal data from INDI CHARTS.
How to Request Account Deletion
Option 1: Delete Account via Email (Recommended)
- Send an email to: ads.contact.manager@gmail.com
- Subject line: “Account Deletion Request - INDI CHARTS”
- Include the following information:
- Your email address associated with the account (the one you used to sign in with Google)
- Confirmation that you want to delete your account and all associated data
- We will respond within 30 days to confirm the deletion process
Option 2: Delete Account via App
- Open the INDI CHARTS app on your device
- Navigate to Settings (usually accessible from the main menu)
- Sign out from your Google account (this removes Firebase authentication)
- Clear app data:
- Android: Go to Settings → Apps → INDI CHARTS → Storage → Clear Data
- iOS: Delete and reinstall the app, or go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage → INDI CHARTS → Delete App
- Contact us via email (ads.contact.manager@gmail.com) to request deletion of cloud-stored data
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently deleted:
- ✅ Firebase Authentication data (email address, display name)
- ✅ User ID and account association
Alert Data
- ✅ All alert rules and configurations
- ✅ Alert history and trigger logs
- ✅ Notification preferences
- ✅ Device registration records
- ✅ Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens
- ✅ Device IDs associated with your account
Synchronized Data
- ✅ All alerts stored in cloud (Cloudflare D1 database)
- ✅ Watchlist items synchronized to cloud
- ✅ Cross-device synchronization data
Local Data (when you clear app data)
- ✅ All alert rules stored locally
- ✅ Watchlist items
- ✅ App preferences and settings
- ✅ Cached indicator data
What Data May Be Retained
The following data may be retained for legal or operational purposes:
Logs and Analytics
- ⚠️ Server logs: May contain IP addresses and request timestamps (retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes)
- ⚠️ Error logs: Crash reports and error logs (retained for up to 90 days for app improvement)
- ⚠️ Analytics data: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics (no personal identifiers)
Data Deletion Timeline
- Immediate: Local app data (when you clear app data or delete the app)
- Within 30 days: Cloud-stored data (alerts, device info, account data)
- Within 90 days: Server logs and analytics data (automatically purged)
Partial Data Deletion
If you want to delete only specific data without deleting your entire account:
Delete Individual Alerts
- Open the INDI CHARTS app
- Go to the Alerts screen
- Swipe left or tap delete on any alert you want to remove
- The alert will be deleted from both local storage and cloud storage
Delete Watchlist Items
- Open the INDI CHARTS app
- Go to the Watchlist screen
- Remove items you no longer want to track
- Changes will sync across all your devices
Disable Notifications
- Open the INDI CHARTS app
- Go to Settings
- Disable push notifications
- Your FCM token will remain but notifications will be disabled
After Account Deletion
- ✅ You will no longer receive push notifications
- ✅ All your alerts will be permanently deleted
- ✅ Your account will be removed from our systems
- ✅ You can create a new account at any time using the same or different email address
- ⚠️ Note: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please ensure you have exported any data you want to keep before requesting deletion.
Data Export (Before Deletion)
If you want to export your data before deletion:
- Alerts: View all your alerts in the app’s Alerts screen (you can take screenshots)
- Watchlist: View your watchlist in the app’s Watchlist screen
- Settings: Your preferences are stored locally and will be deleted with app data
Note: Currently, there is no automated data export feature. You can manually view and screenshot your data before deletion.
Verification
After we process your deletion request, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive confirmation within 30 days, please contact us again at ads.contact.manager@gmail.com
